OUR STORY
Founded in 1985, the Georgia Midwifery Association has a longstanding history of bringing midwives together through shared knowledge, professional relationships, and a commitment to the families and communities they serve. As the profession continues to evolve, so does our association. Building upon our roots in traditional and community-based midwifery, GMA now welcomes midwives from diverse educational backgrounds and professional pathways. We recognize that while our training, credentials, and experiences may differ, we share a commitment to preserving the essential values of midwifery and strengthening its future in Georgia. The Georgia Midwifery Association is dedicated to fostering a supportive community for midwives through fellowship, continuing education, and peer review.
