Connect. Collaborate. Strengthen Midwifery in Georgia.

The Georgia Midwifery Association (GMA) brings together midwives and student midwives who share a commitment to advancing the profession, supporting professional growth, and strengthening access to midwifery care throughout Georgia.
We recognize the valuable contributions of midwives from diverse educational backgrounds and practice pathways, including Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs), Certified Midwives (CMs), Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs), and traditional and community-based midwives.
Membership offers an opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange knowledge and experiences, participate in professional discussions, and contribute to the future of midwifery in our state. Together, we work to foster a community grounded in collaboration, professional accountability, and a shared commitment to respectful, individualized maternity care.
GMA holds quarterly membership meetings, typically in the Atlanta metropolitan area, with opportunities for virtual participation.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Membership is open to practicing midwives (all pathways), retired midwives, and student or apprentice midwives who meet the association's membership requirements.
Whether you are an established practitioner, beginning your midwifery education, or remaining connected to the profession in retirement, GMA provides opportunities for professional connection, continued learning, and meaningful involvement in Georgia's midwifery community.
All members are expected to uphold the association's bylaws, Standards & Guidelines, and professional expectations.
